Working with Kim has been an absolute pleasure. As your editor, she definitely has every sign of green flags! On top of always being responsive, she also guided me step by step through what I needed to do, and coached me patiently! I've learned so much from her in less than a week. I will definitely recommend to work with her for sure!
Working with Kim has been an absolute delight. From the very first message, she was warm, encouraging, and genuinely enthusiastic about my project. She took real care with every piece of feedback she gave, offering thoughtful insights and practical suggestions that helped me see my manuscript more clearly and confidently. Kim’s communication has been exceptional — she replies quickly, explains things thoroughly, and strikes that perfect balance between professional expertise and friendly human connection. I felt supported the whole way through, and her positivity made the editing process not only constructive but genuinely fun. She understood the voice, humour, and heart of my story, and her advice has already helped me grow as a writer. I’m so glad I found her, and I can’t wait to continue working with her on future books. I wholeheartedly recommend Kim to anyone looking for a skilled, compassionate, and highly engaged editor. She’s brilliant.
Kim was great to work with, and very communicative. She has an uncanny eye for detail, and is a great advocate for the reader, the author, and… importantly for the craft of writing. Summaries and revisions were easy to follow and understand, and where I didn’t quite understand, she was happy to elaborate. She has been very generous with her time, and where a lesson is needed (and it was…) she’ll give it. She says what needs to be said, not what you want to hear; for instance “I can’t see or feel what you’re saying here?” — This has helped me raise my game. I thoroughly enjoyed the process, albeit daunting sharing my work with a professional. I do look forward to engaging with her again in the near future. Would highly recommend!
Kim was the first professional editor I've ever worked with. I was nervous about the process and the difficulties it might entail, but she made it remarkably easy. She was reliable, timely and very communicative. She was kind and friendly, and eager to chat about the project. She has a great sense of humour and a light-hearted personality. My anxieties about hiring an editor on an online marketplace were quickly quelled. Kim was an incredibly helpful editor. Her understanding of editing guidelines helped me learn more about book writing and publishing. And she didn't just make my novel better by some objective standards, she made it a better version of what I wanted it to be. She worked with me to achieve my goals and realise my vision for the book.
Kim was great to work with and tailored everything to my individual needs. Being able to zoom with her and discuss the edits she suggested was great and allowed me to get a better understanding of the how to edit my manuscript myself. Her knowledge was amazing and I’d highly recommend using Kim as an editor. I’m coming away from this feeling more empowered about my writing and my own editing. Thanks heaps Kim.
